Donald “Skip” J. Kapp passed away peacefully at home on November 18th, 2023 at the age of 80 following a brief illness. Donald was born on October 9th, 1943 in Greenwich, CT, son of the late Donald Kapp and Helynn (McMahon) Kapp.
Donald served his country honorably as a Petty Officer during the Vietnam conflict in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid. and U.S.S Independence
Before his retirement, Donald worked as a Foreman for SNET in Stamford. During his retirement he enjoyed boating, fishing, and playing bocce at the Elks club in Punta Gorda FL. Above all Donald enjoyed every minute he was able to spend with his two grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Those left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy are his son Christopher and his spouse Kathy of Oxford, his two cherished grandchildren Haley and Hunter, his wife Gail, sister Kathy and her spouse James of Greenwich, his brother Kevin and his spouse Linda of Port St Lucie, his nephews Keith Hirsch and Brian Hirsch, cousins, and countless friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Patricia (Quain) Kapp.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Christian Memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 38 Gold St Greenwich CT on Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at 10:00am. Anyone looking to attend the mass is asked to meet directly at Sacred Heart Church.
