Dr. Anton Varsani

Anton Varsani, MD, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Cleopatra Batsu Varsani, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Born and raised in Shabla, Romania, son of the late Ioan and Hariclia Ciabuca Varsani,and had lived in Germany for over forty years. Dr. Varsani emigrated to the United States ten years ago following his retirement from his medical practice.

He was an avid reader and would often engage in political debate.

In addition to his wife Cleopatra, Dr. Varsani leaves behind his daughter Victoria of Stamford as well a brother, Stere Varsani of Germany.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28 at 11 am directly at St. Dimitrie Orthodox Church, 504 Sport Hill Rd., Easton with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call at church on Friday from 10 am until the time of service.

Arrangements are in the care of the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
