Janina Borowski Zimnoch age 95, wife of the late Edward Zimnoch, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on June 9, 2026.
Born in Bialystok, Poland to the late Domenik Borowski and Jadwiga Pietraszko. She spent her time building the business as the co -owner with her husband Edward of Podlasie Meat Products. She enjoyed her time playing cards with the people around her and enjoyed the occasion visit to the casino. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, whether playing card games or just being with the people that she loved. she will be greatly missed.
She leaves behind her daughter, Rose Zimnoch (Walter) and son Jeffrey Zimnoch (Hanna), her grandchildren Lester, Derek (Ania), Eva and Greg and Great-Grandchildren Evan, Christopher and Makayla, as well as nieces Alina (Tomasz) Cuprys and daughter Jessica Wojslaw (Heather) and son William and Marzena (Lester) Olewicz and son Jacob. She also leaves many relatives in Poland.
Aside from her husband Edward Zimnoch, she was predeceased by her sister Halina Borowski.
The family would like to thank the 2nd floor nurses at Stonebridge Rehab for their care and compassion, and most especially Andy Pierre, Dorothy Sarfo and Omar Hume, who cared for our mother as if she was their own, God Bless them we are eternally grateful.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 15, 2026 10:30 AM at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tpke, Monroe. Family and friends can visit on Sunday 3 – 7 PM at the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
