Lenke Szabo Hargitai, age 92, of Fairfield passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Born and raised in Hungary, daughter of Matyas and Elizabeth Halasz Szabo, Lenke emigrated to United Stated in 1956 living in Waterbury before moving to Bridgeport in 1994.
She had worked for the former Cornwall Patterson Company for many years until her retirement and later helping out as a volunteer for Sullivan-Mckinney Elder Housing and the Burroughs Home in Bridgeport. Lenke enjoyed cooking and SHOPPING, she loved dancing, spending time with her friends and fashion. She had a sharp eye, a sharper wit, and a no-nonsense approach to life. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Toth and her husband Zoltan Toth of Westport, grand children Eric and Chrystal Toth as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins in Hungary.
A Memorial service will take place on April 26th at 11 AM at Sullivan-McKinney House, 224 Meadowbrook Road, Fairfield. Arrangements in the care of Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home.
