Maura Flanagan

Maura Ann Flanagan (Lombardi), age 58, of Beacon Falls passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024 from health related issues. Her family is at peace knowing she is no longer in pain. She was the eldest daughter of the late Mary Lombardi and Donald Lombardi. Maura grew up in Monroe, CT where she and her brothers attended St. Jude Catholic School. Maura was a 1983 graduate of Masuk High School.

Maura had many talents and would teach herself how to use different media over the years and could make anything her canvas. She was very creative and some hobbies she enjoyed included drawing, painting, scrapbooking, and crocheting. Her true passion was baking, and she enjoyed sharing her creations with friends and family. Her smile was bright, and she would light up especially when she gifted someone one of her handmade blankets or their favorite dessert on their birthday. She had a thoughtful and loving way about her that will never be forgotten.

Maura leaves behind her husband James and their three daughters, Nicole (Brandon), Sarah and Rachel (Nathan). She also leaves behind two grandsons Nathan and Liam. In addition to her immediate family she is survived by her father Donald, brothers Paul (Jeff), Ronald (Lisa) and Thomas (Ivana) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects may do so from 10-12pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024 followed by a prayer service beginning at 12pm at the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
