Nicholas J. Giambazi

Nicholas James "Nicky" Giambazi, age 68, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Born in Bridgeport on April 10,1956, son of the late James and Katherine Talabac Giambazi. Nicky was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. He spent the majority of his younger years working at the family business, Seaside Confectionary in the South End of Bridgeport.

Nicky was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed his walks at Seaside Park, and more than anything loved the times that he spent with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brother, Theodore "Ted" Giambazi and his wife Lisa Batsu Giambazi of Bridgeport, his nephew Matthew Giambazi and his fiance Ashley Rae of Shelton, his niece Jaden Giambazi of Shelton, a great uncle George Bici of Long Island, an aunt Elizabeth Talabac of Rhode Island, as well as many loving cousins. In addition to his parents, Nicky was predeceased by his grandparents Theodore and Angelucia Nastu Giambazi and Vanghel and Louise Bici Talabac.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 11 am at the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-7 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Dimitrie Orthodox Church.
