Philip M. Buckley

Philip Michael Buckley, age 82, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Lucia (Lucy) DiMeglio Buckley, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Born and raised in Astoria, NY, Philip was a Fairfield Town resident for many years. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines and later went on to work as a department head for the Alimak Corporation until his retirement and also worked for the Town of Fairfield Special Police.

Phil was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Gaelic American Club.

In addition to his wife Lucy, he is survived by his daughters, Meredith Buckley of Bridgeport and Hilary Hill and her husband Matthew of Orange as well as his granddaughter Astoria Rose Hill. He was predeceased by his brothers, Patrick, Michael, Eugene and John Buckley. 

Calling Hours will be held Friday, August 23rd at 9:00 am until Funeral Services at 10:30 am in the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am in Holy Family Church, Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield with burial in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk with full Military Honors.
