Robert Nicholas Ferik (AKA Fancy or Bo), age 73, of Trumbull, beloved partner of Deborah Ryan passed away on October 30th, 2025.
Born in Bridgeport, Robert was the son of the late John Ferik and Gladys Jablonsky Ferik.
After graduating from Trumbull High School, he pursued his education at Norwalk State Technical college earning a degree in Computers before ultimately graduating with a degree in Accounting from Sacred Heart University in 1973. Robert spent his career in numerous positions within the field of Information Technology Support and Systems Manufacturing before retiring after over 25 years working at Duracell, Inc in Bethel, CT.
As a sports enthusiast, he could usually be found playing softball, basketball, volleyball and bowling on various teams. He also loved to ski, play hockey and spent time refereeing volleyball games at St. Joseph’s in Trumbull for several years. As an avid hunter, he especially enjoyed spending time with his Penn 5 family (Da Yoopers), he was a member of the Newtown Fish & Game Club loving the outdoors with his dogs. Spending time with friends was his favorite above all, usually at East End Yacht club where he was a lifetime member, or the Turkey Roost Rod & Gun Club in Monroe where he was also a lifetime member and past president. The cherished times he spent at their house in Florida with Deb will be deeply missed. He was truly a loyal friend who was always willing to lend a hand to whoever needed it.
In addition to his partner Deb, he is survived by his brother Thomas Ferik and wife Ilene, his niece Abby & husband Greg and their 2 daughters, Millie & Zoe of NJ, and his nephew Ted & his wife Jaime and their son Greyson of CT. He also leaves behind many cousins.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
