Rosemary Coralian Obituary

Rosemary Anne Coralian, age 84, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

Born and raised in Pelham Manor, NY, daughter of the late William and Blanche Martin Heineman, Rosemary was one of eight children. Her father was a movie producer for United Artists. She graduated from the University of Toronto, then trained at the Assumption Montessori School.  Rosemary spent a brief period as a Montessori School Teacher, and then became a wife and mother. With an actor for a husband, she travelled the country with the cast of Fiddler on the Roof, with children in tow.  After raising her family, she began working at Sunnyside Federal Savings and Loan, eventually becoming the Mortgage Officer.

Rosemary loved music, singing and playing guitar in the Church of the Transfiguration folk group in Tarrytown, NY. In addition to her love of music, she also learned to tap dance. Rosemary was an animal lover, and was blessed enough to land a volunteer position at the Bronx Zoo helping with the baby gorillas. The years she spent with the gorillas were some of her fondest memories. In her retirement years, she moved to a senior living community in Maryland. There, she became well known as a trusty dog walker.

She is survived by her son, Brian Coralian and his wife Jackie of Milford, a daughter Kim McCathron and her husband Christopher of Trumbull, a brother John Heineman and his wife Toosh of Italy, a sister Donna Little and her husband Wilfried of Canada, grandchildren Gee and Kelly Coralian, Charlie McCathron as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, William 'Bill" Heineman Jr., and Jim Heineman, sisters Marilyn Craddock, Gloria Heineman and Diane Bremser.
