Thomas J. Hardiman Jr., age 82, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Lynn Chase Hardiman, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, son of the late Thomas J. Hardiman Sr and Anna Hardiman, Tom had been a Bridgeport City resident before moving to Shelton 40 years ago. Mr. Hardiman had worked as the owner of the Hardiman Drilling Company until his retirement. Tom enjoyed boating with his family aboard his cabin cruiser, the " Himself ", especially his trips to Block Island, Rhode Island. Mr. Hardiman was a life member of the Miamogue Yacht Club, where he would enjoy an occasional Schaefer with his friends sharing his boating knowledge.
He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Hardiman III of Seymour, daughters Eileen Hardiman of Shelton and Catherine Hardiman of Milford as well as his grandchildren, Samantha, Thomas Hardiman the fourth, Andrew, Ryan, Colin and James.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 10 am directly at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton, with burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 pm in the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield.
